A personal passion project born out of a desire to keep my skills sharp, the XCOM Databank has been running since 2018. The site compiles detailed statistics for each season of Christopher Odd’s XCOM 2: War of the Chosen YouTube series, tracking mission data, including dates, locations, objectives, and enemies encountered, as well as individual soldier careers across each campaign.

Built from scratch using PHP and MySQL, the site features a custom backend for data entry that automatically establishes relational links between missions, soldiers, and other aspects of the campaign. A mission page will list every soldier who participated; a soldier page will list every mission they appeared in — all handled automatically through the database relationships rather than manual linking.

The project has served as an ongoing personal testbed for full-stack development outside of a professional environment.
